Because I would never abandon Scootaloo and for me, it isn't of importance if she can fly or not.

When they say they will still support her, they will. There are more reasons why Scootaloo is loved, it's not just a sad, tragic fate because of her wings.

People hated Twilight when she attained wings. This community is terrible.
Scootaloo's fate if she flies is well preceded.

No one started to hate Twilight, the fandom were just pissed about the change in general, for two reasons:

1. They feared that Twilight could change, could become an entitled, picky, arrogant princess, that doesn't care for her friends anymore, only for her title.
And some said that the balance between the Mane Six is not there anymore because they don't consist anymore of two earth ponies, two pegasi and two unicorns, but as one unicorn and one alicorn instead.

2. They thought Hasbro demanded this change and this is the reason why this happened, which made them fear that Hasbro would ruin the show by demanding more and more princesses or, even worse, demanding that all of the Mane Six become princesses and alicorns with that.


Nothing of this has to do with Scootaloo.

Scootaloo will be loved always.

Unlike Twilight getting an add on, Scootaloo would be losing something, her disability.

Also fearing Twilight would become entitled? C'mon, you have to be pretty paranoid to think that they would make a character completely unlikable, or rather you would have to be dramatic.

Also, "oh no! its not 2, 2, and 2 anymore!" Spare me. That proves my point entirely, its petty things like that which will have people hate Scootaloo if she flies.

Lastly, I see no issues with the Mane 6 becoming Alicorns. Again, petty stuff.

Scootaloo would loose something if she flies, is that really the way how you see it?
This is sad. Because she would win something if she would be able to fly.
And bronies would he happy with her.
Because, believe it or not, bronies suffer with her from it that she can't fly.
Since last year on July 17th, when I became active on Equestria Daily, I had several discussions with other bronies if Scootaloo will ever be able to fly, here and on Equestria Daily.
I was always the one that said that Scootaloo is disabled and will never fly, because we saw several very clear hints on that in the show, and do you know what happened? I got backlash for that. Every time.
Other bronies were saying things like "She's not disabled, she will fly one day" or "You just don't want her to be able to fly" to me, which is not true, I was just explaining why it's unlikely that she ever will, because you shouldn't make yourself wrong hopes when it's so clear that she is disabled.
I personally don't think about it anymore if she should fly or not, even when I was conflicted in the past between that she should learn to fly, for not suffering anymore and becoming happy, or not, for the dramatic of the show, and couldn't decide about that. Until I realized that I don't have to decide between that, because all I want is that she will find her true meaning in life and a destiny that makes her truly happy, be it flying or anything else that will make her happy in the same way.
Everytime I discussed that, before having that realization because since then I don't do that anymore since it feels like gambling with her fate, everyone was in denial about her disability, even when it was clearly visible, told me that she will definitely fly one day, that she is just a late bloomer, ect.
No one wanted to hear that she will never fly, everyone suppressed the thoughts on that sad reality. No one that secretly wishes for it that she will never fly, because he thinks he wouldn't like her anymore then, would react that way when you say that Scootaloo will never fly.
Most bronies suffer with her from being flightless and desperately want that she will fly one day and they don't allow themselves any other thoughts.
At least it was like this until "Flight to the Finish" which proofed that she has a disability. But the reactions of bronies still show that they suffer with her because of being flightless.

Bronies suffer along with her? That's what will last until Tartarus freezes over and beyond.

(Also Tartarus being cold isn't exactly out of the question.)

Where one story ends, another one begins. Scootaloo will experience many interesting things in her life, even if she should be able to fly one day, to base episodes around on.

You're argumenting so much against it that bronies will still love Scootaloo if she should fly, against every logic and without anything profound to back that worry up, that I get the feeling YOU wouldn't be able to like her anymore if she flies and that you just use the hypothetical opinion of other bronies to hide behind it.

Scootaloo is as much as a background character as all the other unnamed characters in MLP.
You say Scootaloo I say who?

While I agree based on another character, Derpy, who has no redeeming qualities and Bronies lose their minds whenever she appears. Like a dog and a tennis ball its really quite pathetic.
