Still digging around and finding atrocities in my gallery that need to be fixed. The failure isn't in the idea, but rather in the lack of knowledge that you have at the time of executing technique.I'm sure at the time that I did the first render, I probably thought it was pretty solid. In looking back, there was a lack of imagination and fundamental understanding of his costume design. It's a very, "What the hell was I thinking?" moment.
I look forward to looking at this render a year from now and doing it all over again... again.

Kick ass, Spike! His design makes me think of an American from the Revolutionary War, but with a sci-fi twist!
By the way, I finally got around to taking your advice to task! I dabbled a little bit with copying some architecture and vanishing points from some manga, and that really helped to open my eyes and "see" what I had been missing! Naturally, I still nail a few speed bumps, but I can also more readily identify vanishing points in life photos. I owe ya!
