Description "Please don't say, "You are lazy,", 'cause you'd actually be crazy."

Mio from K-ON! Yay fanarts. :3 I haven't finished watching even the first one yet so no spoilers please! (As if there's that much to spoil LMAO)

It's so cute, I love it to pieces. :3 I'm especially impressed with the animation and I'm fond of the drawing style. I'd be even happier if the music was awesomer and the show a bit deeper, but it's hilarious and they're on a budget so what are ya gonna do.

Beaut! Reminds me of my little sister - she's a funky musician
May I ask what colour/s you use for the skin? It's really lovely!

Hmmm.... well, I have a "flesh tint" but I usually still use (in addition) some mix of cadmium yellow (deep hue) and either grumbacher red and/or alizarin crimson. Uhm. I don't actually remember what combo I used for this. ;w; It's different every time, I'm sorry! But I also usually use a lot of water so it's nice and light, and also add complimentary colors (when mixing) so it's not so bright. But I've pulled back on that a lot, opting to try and brave through using brighter colors... but uh, the thing is, if you have a mix that has too much water, it can be hard to layer, right? I work so slow though, the water evaporates just enough (usually) to leave me with a thicker mix with which to start layering. ^_^ Sometimes that doesn't work so well though... >_> And of course I also change the hue a bit in the shadows.

Uhm, that was kind of a rambly answer. X3 Hope it was informative though! ;w;

It's such a beautiful skin tone; so delicate and luminous
That was brilliantly informative - thank you so much!
I tend to use glazes of naples yellow and alizarin crimson / rose madder for the base, then add either burnt sienna or indanthrene (sp?) blue for the shading. Also violet, sometimes. I like your idea of adding complimentary colours when mixing; that's a stroke of brilliance, that is!
