Me as a kid, asleep in the back of the car.I have a bunch of old skteches lying on my hard drive that'd need a bit more work to be finalised. The sketch of this was 1,5 years old.. now I finally got around finishing it. Tjo.. with this kind of palette and colour scheme it's a bit difficult to tell when it's finished. Should I draw more details in tha dark areas? ...and so on.

Upea tunnelma. Rauhallinen automatka, lienee hyvän sommittelun tulosta.
Pidän kuitenkin ennen kaikkea viivatyöstä ja värityksestä. Housujen, hiusten ja repun viivat saavat silmäni tanssimaan. Katseeni yrittää löytää selkeää kiinnekohtaa pojan lahkeista, kuten muistan silmieni harhailleen joskus porraskäytävän hämärässä. Tarkkarajaiset hiukset tasapainottavat mukavasti kuvan muuta pehmeyttä ja niinpä palaan aika-ajoin hiuksiin. Selkeät viivat tuntuvat levollisilta hämyn keskellä.
Värisilmääni kiehtoo ennen kaikkea reppu. Se häilyy näkemisen rajamailla ja toisinaan kuvittelen näkeväni jotain uutta sen sinisissä varjoissa. Yritän nähdä luoko reppu vielä tummemman varjon istuimeen, vai makaako se istuimen varjossa. Hassu aivojen leikki, mikä pitää mielenkiintoa yllä ja katseeni kuvassa.

Hieno tunnelma. Omassa lapsuudessani juuri tällaisissa öisissä automatkoissa oli melkeinpä jotain taianomaista, ja sen olet mielestäni tavoittanut erittäin hyvin. Todella rauhoittava ja kaunis värimaalima.

I love the mood and setting of this picture. It strikes a chord with my childhood as well, and that sticky just-after-waking-up feeling too.
I like the scenery outside and the reflections on the car window as well. It makes me wonder what's out there.

It is indeed a bit dark, but the rough and pictural look suits the piece well, as opposed to your regular "ligne claire" style.
