Yes, Swadloon is one of the cutest pokemon in this generation! It's impossible to go through Pinwheel Forest and don't catch a Swaddle/Swadloon!

It seems like you drew a white cresent shaped line for the base and then played around with some brush till you got the results you wanted and then just kept coloring that to make it look realistic?

I dont remember exactly the steps. But i think that first I made a black layer with render-lens flare 105. Then use a layer mask with "circular" gradient and applied some color filter. After that I made the cresent shaped line and use two or three fractals brushes modeling them. Basically what you said.
