Original stuff! Yay!
Quick character concept of the obligatory prodigy of any story; 18 year old Jae Without-A-Last-Name. She looks a bit older, though. It's in black and white because all attemtps to colour it failed miserably. It looks good like this anyway.
The picture is also my way of adressing something that has been bugging me for awhile -- the very beautiful 2D maps/graphs so often used in SF. Often in battle situations, in planning stages, or like a radar.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't something based on two dimensions be very useless in space? Where you have full acess to a three dimensions and no directions that aren't relative?
Anyway, she's operating some kind of 3D grid, which is very sloppily made, but still. Uhm, with her hands. Which is not bery obvious, so I'm wirting it down here. I figure the ship you're on would be placed in the middle. But you can probably shove it around too. Or fix it somewhere. Otherwise it would be kind of limiting.
