Description This is going to be my next tattoo, which I have decided to get before my phoenix.

This is a Hamsa - for protection against the evil eye, tradtionally from the Middle East.

Have found the tattoo artist I want to do it - her work is here

Getting a consultation this week most probably, to see if I could tweak it a lil - a few areas seem like they could do with something more...hmm...

Done in brush markers and indian ink fine liner.

I really love this design! I was thinking of getting my first tattoo of a Hamsa on my wrist and this is perfect. I'm planning this 2 years early but if I ever do get it, do I have the permission to use this?

A) there is no way a tattooist would ever try and tattoo this on your wrist - it's too detailed, it would end up a blob in like 20 years. B) someone already has it on their back, without asking which is fine as it turned out to fit it where I wanted it I had to alter the image slightly, but C) you can use it as inspiration if you wish. But I would rather you didn't use this exact image if deciding to make it larger. THAT BEING SAID, if you really truly love it, who am I to tell you that you cannot if it resonates with your heart and soul? I would be foolish. Just please - hook me up with a HQ image of it when it's done!! I haven't been able to get hold of the lovely gal who made an account just so she could apologize for "stealing" my image since, and I'd hate to have nothing to put in my portfolio.

Thanks man! I had to change it because of the size I wanted it(still haven't got the colours done aiii), which turned out for the best because about 5 months ago I got a message from a gal, saying her friend had found the image on google search, and she'd gotten it tattoo on her whole back, apologizing because afterwards she went through the link to my DA account and found out the design was for ME! So chuffed, but want an image for my portfolio, and not heard from her since...
