These are all lovely images. I like the hazy feel to this one - has an opiating effect. Excellent

Revisitied this...

And now get the impression of seeing from a bird's eye view... and at the same time gives me the thought - of what is being seen from that sidewalk. Think this is a sign of a successfull abstract, where it can invoke different thoughts, that still revolve around what its titled......

There seems to be little vignettes here and there, although none of them were planned or expanded upon. What I liked best was the hint of an old chevy truck in the bottom right! lol

wonderful. great abstract. love it.
thanks to sanpaiya also for the link to
sharupalimar. Amazing that some of the abstracts by
sharupalimar are also digital.

Both of these artists are extraordinary...Sharupalimar constantly amazes me with his cityscapes in particular....his art is well worth a long look...Sanpaiya also does traditional art if you go back further in his gallery...Thank you for all the comments last night! You were a busy bee! Much appreciated!

Thanks J. I was really impressed with the work... love to see abstracts finely done. I will do further exploring of these two artists also.

i love the use of digital means to create something that looks traditionally rendered!!

other than that... i was totally drawn to this one. The colours and shades really remind me of light reflections off broken glass. beauty!

I seem to be really drawn to doors, windows, the stripping away of a building....it seems to be an ever present theme! Thanks for the great comment!

I love the shading and the blends. For some reason, it evokes more a sense of The Projects rather than city sidewalks to me. It's the boxes-on-boxes crowded sense, and the darkness in the lower RH corner.

It almost feels like a crowded apartment building with one of the walls peeled away so we can see the rooms and their tenants within, and all the different moods. Intriguing.

You know, I agree with you...it is like a building with the walls peeled away...I often think I see a truck parked in the lower right corner, although, as usual, none of it was planned...perhaps I should have named "The Tenant" but of course that has connotations of it's own Thank you for stopping by and your insights. Made me realize I feel the same way about this painting.

Does give me the impression of "city" - but I live in the boondocks...... tried city - prefer where I've ended up - most of the time.............

Live in the boondocks myself Hew...Remember your outwest series and the girl short of a rope...pretty much what I look out on everyday although there's some snow out there today.

Superb work; the patterns and tones make for a rich and dense environment. I also appreciate the way you've made a digital work appear traditional. Excellent stuff.

digital ?? damn neat.. i like the texture overlay.. gives it a traditional feel.. one of my fav artists early works were similar to this ... but with a limited palette

These are all the pedestrian stories, seen in the stratus of scuffs and marks below...a negative of the fanciful things we try to see in the puffy, happy cumulus clouds above. I think The Longest Hour lives in the neighborhood.
