~Burning Dreams~
'When we are caught in a life of machine and watch our hopes and dreams burn in front of us...is there a way out? or is it just darkness?...'
I have been thinking of painting a Ghost In The Shell inspired piece. This piece does not necessarily depict anything about the anime or the movie, but my inspiration was not drawn from the story itself but the environment. I like to experiment with dark themes sometimes mixed along with popular cultural subjects. It's kind of a tribute to the anime , one might say.
I also added the steam punk feeling with it, so basically created this piece with things I like most in sci-fi art.
At first I was thinking of adding a background, but I am not a big fan of excessive crowd unless it is absolutely necessary or the image demands it for the story. Here my main subjects are only two and I wanted to depict them without any further details to be distracted.
I used three colours for the cyborg (and 50 shades of greys xD) and four for the butterfly (except black). So this is quite a limited palette colour scheme, which I wanted to experiment to see how a painting turns out with limited number of colours. May be in future I will try to draw something with more limited colour palette. Hope you liked this piece. Thanks for visiting my work
