Mae Questel is a person that is most known as the voice of Betty Boop in the 30's and forward.

Betty's voice was first performed by Margie Hines, and was later provided by several different voice actresses, including Kate Wright, Ann Rothschild (aka Little Ann Little), Bonnie Poe and most notably, Mae Questel, who began in 1931, continuing with the role until her death in 1998.

From 1931 until 1939, Questel provided the voice of Betty Boop in more than 150 animated shorts, the longest run for any actress doing that voice.

Today, Betty is voiced by Tress MacNeille and Tara Strong in commercials.

I like Mae Questel and Betty Boop. They are both quite charming, and the cartoon is still entertaining! <3

Betty Boop the Boop Oop a Doop girl was created as a Parody of 1920's singer & actress Helen Kane. Betty made her debut in Dizzy Dishes in 1930. Betty started out as a dog and eventually turned into human by 1932. Betty's cartoons were full of sexual references and most of them were surreal. In 1933 all of her animal friends were removed from the series then from 1934 Betty was toned down by the haycode and was forced to wear longer outfits and was practically turned into the typical housewife type. from 1938-1939 Betty got a new look she was made taller and had a different hairstyle. Betty Boop was voiced by 5 women in the original series: Bonnie Poe, Mae Questel, Kate Wright, Little Ann Little aka (Ann Rothschild) & Margie Hines who first voiced the character Betty Boop.

Betty Boop was re-found in the 80s and was back to her usual Boop Oop a Doopin ways (although she is mostly in the retail buisness these days aka Kingfeatures).
