Description Ive definately got the MLP cancer good, but i read a story where the two worlds of human and pony had colided and lived as far as i can tell harmoniously. Still, civil rights would indeed mean...

Challenge for this was that ponies have entirely different vital spots. In combat, Id have to assume that keeping a low head would be vital to combat as weapons would be mounted on their backs as a small version of a Crow Turret that you would see on a MRAP or some other mine resistant vehicle. So that keeps their profile low from the front, and actually harder to hit if fighting face first.

Now as for brodside protection, obviously the area just behind the elbow (Not using proper termonology here but you get the idea) is where your heart and lungs lay. Everything in front of that for an equine is muscle and sinue. So to keep the armor comfortable, only vital areas are protected just like with Human Kevlar configurations.

I also just realized I left a convenient gap for pegasus ponies near the back of the withers. And as athstetically pleasing as it is to see the ears poke out the helmet... those would be no goes in the army. I remember a recal for just the bolts that heald the straps on because they presented a note worthy weakspot. If that is the case, then definately to gaping holes on the side of the helmet would do little to protect your cranium.

Just going to pop up and say this is pretty cool. Since I found FoE, doodling armor has been up there on my list of things to do eventually; and if I may, this is pretty a pretty kicking design. The explanation was quite fun to read through!

BEST thing you can do, is look at pictures with armor. References are nothing to be ashamed over. They are like the foundation of art to which eventually allows you to expand your creativity.
