This is beautiful, a very atmospheric piece, the skin tones and your use of warm reddish colours is lovely (makes it really glow). If only I had such patience with oils.

hey funny you say that, in the art forum I belong to it was picked up as a lighting error, but I was kinda just going abstracty background.

Well I thought it was like how the old masters painted their portraits onto very dark almost black backgrounds getting that really effective result they did.

Lol funny you say that because I want to do some gold but alas, I have run out of yellow paint lol. I was trying to make do with ochre but it just doesn't cut it darn!
