yea i think ud be more afraid of boobytraps and the man in the black pajamas in there, which is arguably more deadly than spiders

the problem is that those tunnels can be pretty long, and interconnecting with others, so u could drop a grenade and hit dirt and the enemy would know exactly where u were on the ground, they had multiple exits and used it as an advantage. if you sent a man in there, which they did, he could maybe shoot some or get some intel before they hightailed it out of there, which they were notorious for, even hauling away their dead
