Looks very nice. What method did you take to doing the colors, if you don't mind me asking. Most of my work i have been doing in black and white first

I don't think I really have a method when it comes to painting from a direct picture. I always use the color picker instead of the Color slider window just because I can get more accurate colors faster with the color picker, just wish it'd stay open all the time. I just dive right into it blocking out shapes with the main color of whatever object I'm painting and add the shadow and highlights later.

I try really hard not to use the picker, but hey, maybe its the best way for doin this kind of picture. It looks very good by the way. I need to do more like these as well

It's the quickest and most accurate way for me, so I use it. If I wanted to take forever to get my colors I'd do traditional painting more. (Which I really like too.)
