Description Did this for my dad. La La la.... started this in november..... then my photoshop went beserk... and I couldn't work on it. Then of course I was working on my manga, but now my manga has been delayed until I acquire some talent.

This painting was a pain, so many friggin details... @_@... I wanted to challenge myself, and boy was it challenging... I worked on it off and on, so who knows how many hours have been put into it, since I think I'm the slowest artist in the world. I'm guessing around 20 hours? It was just going to be a scenery pic at first, then I decided I wanted to put a person in it, but then I didn't know where the person would go, so I decided to leave it like it is.

I used Photoshop CS as usual. I used a reference of course, got it from a search engine.

At first I thought this was a photo. You did a great job on rendering the scene with so much detail. The atmosphere of this is very relaxing and serene.

This one is particularly gorgeous. I love the way the perspective is rendered. I think you have a great ability to represent such scenes for yourself, and let me say the result is quite magnificent.

Please give some tips on how you did this!
I am good at doing characters but I so suck at trees and such. ANd this one is so beautiful! Can really see some sweet fairys there!

Thank you so much!!!!
Well, let's see... what I did first was fill in the whole background with the darkest colors, because the color scheme of the picture is on the dark side, then continuing to work from dark to light, I made some new layers and sketched a sloppy solid outline of where trees and other objects would be. When I was satisfied with the placing, I made a couple more layers and started to add more color shades, and put in the texture of the bark. Lastly I colored in all the things in the foreground, which were mostly leaves. I used alot of brushes but I mainly used... hmm... not sure how to describe it, but it can dragged across the page and it won't be a solid stroke, it looks texturized. I have like a billion different brushes downloaded, so I'm not sure if the one I used most is in the original adobe CS bunch, but if that is the case, here's the site where I got all my brushes from: [link]
I hoped this helped. ^_^

Damn girl!!!!! Where did this come from? Honestly this is REALLY good. I gave it a full view, hoping to zoom in and see some brush strokes and flaws, but to my astonishment saw none. Very nicely done, i bow to your skills.
