Done for *cypherx 's contest. She said 99 balloons or through the looking glass, but then in another comment she said we'd be okay to do any of the wonderland characters.The caterpillar was my favorite. Always has been, always will be. So.. caterpillar smoking red balloons.
No really it makes sense.
I'll try to take a better photograph tomorrow, done in colored pencils and watercolors.
And of course the druggy caterpillar was created by Lewis Caroll

The forced perspective really makes this piece so brilliant for the smoke and bringing the viewer to the Caterpillar's level of the world.

First of all: great perspective! I like the way I am looking from deep down to the top through all this wonderful colors and flying ballons! And your blue caterpillar on this orange mushroom ist really expressive! I like it!

You should read Perdido Street Station by China Mieville (if you haven't already), there is a dark tribute to that druggie caterpillar in it
