Description
It was morning, and I just woke up. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the very heroic Alfred F. Jones! AKA, America! Anyways, onto the story. I made my way to the kitchen, where my little brother Mattie (Matthew) was making his famous hotcakes! He put a plate on the table, and poured the rich maple syrup on it.
"Woah Mattie!" I said. "Food looks awesome! Can't wait to dig in!"
"I hope you will like it..." He gave me his smile, which always brightened my day.
"Anyways, how was your day yesterday? You came home kinda late."
He sighed. "Yeah... It was horrid, C-Cuba kinda got mad at me again" He laughed nervously.
I frowned, and asked why.
"Oh just the usual reasons..."
I honestly didn't know the reas-- Oh! Alot of people get us mixed up...And Cuba doesn't like me to much so....
"Hey Mattie..." I patted the spot nest to me, motioning for him to sit besides me. "Listen... I know alot of your troubles are because of me... I just wanna say... I'm here for ya. Got it? I don't mean anything that happens to you.."
He looked at me with semi-wide eyes. "O-oh! I know that...I would never blame anything on you!" He looked weird while saying that. I didn't think much of it at the time. "W-Well the hotcakes are getting pretty cold! It's best you start eating them!"
I grinned and forked it. I was so glad to have a brother like that. I kissed his cheek quickly, blushed and looked away, and thanked him silently. He blushed too. Was that weird? Oh well...
I bit into the pancakes. The flavor flourished through my mouth. Then I felt something. I kinda felt it late though.
I ran to the sink, started spitting the food out. I looked to what was in my mouth before. Glass....Glass was in the hotcake? I couldn't speak. A pretty large piece was in my mouth, and I had cuts all over in there.
Matthew smiled, ever so innocently. "To think I felt I bit guilty. But hey, it's worth it, eh?"
I wondered what he was talking about. I kept trying to convince myself it was a hell-scary nightmare. But I'm not too much of a moron. I knew it was really happening.
I tried to spit out some words, but I couldn't. I wanted to say 'But Mattie...I loved you." But I couldn't; not that it would make a difference. I turned around fully to face him, but a blade met my chest. Wanna guess who was stabbing it?
I tried to let out a scream. But what I let out didn't sound like a scream. Matthew's smile wasn't so innocent anymore. It was the worst thing I endured, that face of his he had at that very moment. He's killing me, and not just with a knife or glass.
He kissed my mouth, which was filled with blood. I nearly shit my pants when I watched him lick it off his lips. He took me by the neck and his grip tightened.
"Je t'aime, mon frere idiot...Peut-etre que maintenant les gens ne me prenda pas pour vous..."
What did he say? Did it matter? I was dying and he killed me.
He riped the blade out of my chest, and walked away. Did he walk away? It seemed like it. But I heard faint footsteps after that. I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead. I loved him though, and I still do. But now I'm heartbroken.
