Description When I walked out the door from work today, it was raining enough to get me wet while I walked to my bike. got the windbreaker out, unlocked, and left, figuring I was going to get soaked - not a big deal really. As I turned the first corner, the rain was gone, and all the roads in that direction were dry. A few weather fronts blasted through ABQ today - that's one thing I like about the desert, is you can watch the weather come and go for the most part. What I don't like is the wind, damn it was pretty strong today. But it was for once at my back, and the uphill ride home was short and sweet...

Shot at Candelaria and the North Diversion Channel. Heavily processed, so much that I cannot remember all I did...

Wow that is an awesome shot! I just read that you used a special lens, and it is a great effect. I'm new to photography, but I'm excited to use all of these different lenses I've got and this one is really awesome, maybe I'll invest in one

caution reality twisting going down - so many contrasts going on here... the sky screams beautiful while the sign shows the grunge.. the cools in the sky against warms on the ground... you've got horizontals established through so many layers (mountains, roadway) and then the focus is drawn on the signs, the more obvious vertical.... so amazing to look at.... solid work

Thank you... The desert drives me batty with stuff like this. I see it a lot, and most of the time choose to ignore the impulse to capture it - sometimes it just does not translate, you know? Thanks so much for the more than thoughtful comment, always appreciated, and refreshing...

I dig the colors and angle, great work man. Such an array of desert-esque colors.

As cool as "I think" this is, and as much as I like it... it's still no sub for the real scene, which of course was impossible to capture - unless one is immersed in that atmosphere, you just can't covey it... it's close, but just not there :d thanks!

Thank you, that's a very keen, and generous comment - appreciated, sometimes I forget about that aspect of photography altogether - at least consciously...

this is a groovy image, I love the clouds painting the sky, and it still holds it's urban undertones
