Awesome! I loved JLA.
It's one of the comics I learned how to read with growing up. Not to mention,
You had all of the characters in one comic for the price of one.

Dude, YOU should care. It's not just about respecting the hard work of other artists, and honoring their rights. It's about having SELF-respect, not misrepresenting yourself with artwork you never made. Swiping another person's art, and merely changing a detail or color here and there, and then re-posting it as if it were your own is the lamest sort of game ever. It's not creative at all. Honestly, that's the actions of a low-life wannabe. Don't you aspire to be better than THAT? What energy you put into thinking up alternate identities, characters, and worlds might be better applied to studying hard, and practicing to draw on a level good enough to represent yourself as creative all on your own. Claiming that you don't have the time for it is bullsh!t. If you really can't make the time to become a legitimate artist, then it's not your calling. Step off. Anyone wanting to take the stage must first have the talent, and then be EAGER to put in the hard work and the time (Usually, it's a LIFE-time.). Have some legitimate pride in yourself. Earn some real respect. It's out there waiting for you. Don't you want it?
Now, I'm generally a very nice guy. A tolerant guy. If any of this comes off as harsh, or bruising, then turn that into a positive kick in the pants. Learn from it. Down the road, you may understand that I'm only trying to help you.
So, decide what do you really want to be, and then go really BE it, honorably. Then you'll be welcome among us, or wherever it is you end up. Stop being an identity thief.
Peace.

to be honest, i don't think it's stealing because I'm not making any money off it and I'm not directly saying the outline/design is mine and was started by me, which it wasn't. So, really, it's your call

My favorite thing about Captain Super is that just like his heroic counterpart he sufers from Youngblood's Disease (an ailment common among characters drawn by Rob Liefeld and named by Linkara, the main sympton is the lack of eyes)
π: 0 β©: 1
Jerome-K-Moore In reply to Maki-P [2011-06-07 03:52:22 +0000 UTC]
Heh. Very funny.
Actually, the eyes are there. He merely squints most of the time, a la Clint Eastwood.
This was a common enough characteristic among classic cartoon characters (including Mr. Magoo, Bluto and Popeye-- one of his eyes, anyway-- and the Max Fleischer Superman). In fact, the original Captain Marvel, of whom Captain Super is a parody, was often depicted with his eyes seemingly shut. It was my intent to recapture that style as best I could, even though this isn't something widely expected nowadays, and it can be disconcerting for animators. The squinty eyes thing is still found today in some anime characters (Pokemon).

Heh, I loved the the idea of an "evil Marvel family." However, the idea that this fella might be intended to represent Black Adam never even entered my mind while watching the animated movie (even with the colors that the producers ultimately selected). I immediately thought about the classic Marvel family, with Cap, Jr., and Uncle Marvel. Besides...wouldn't Black Adam have been a hero in this world?
In any case, nice work! Thanks for sharing.

Jerome-K-Moore In reply to KainMaxi [2010-10-05 21:25:34 +0000 UTC]
Very astute observation. I do expect that the villainous Black Adam might rightfully fight on the side of right in this alternate reality.
BUT--- To stretch the hypothetical still further, in this alternate reality where Black Adam remained heroic, he would have fulfilled his mission long ago for the good wizard SHAZAM, and passed away centuries before. Perhaps this evil Marvel Family became his successors, and are playing the role which the Black Adam we're familiar with does now, refusing to relinquish their power. OR, the wizard SHAZAM could himself be evil, conveying his powers upon suitable proteges as he sees fit in this warped world.
Cheers!
