Okay okay, before you start cussing and throwing rotten tomatoes at me, I realize this is incredibly Mary Sueish.... I'm sorry to say that no matter how much I try to avoid making my OC come off as a Mary Sue, and avoid doing pics like these... I just couldn't seem to contain my love for OC drama! I am so so so so sorry!

I'm in love with your picture! I believe it shouldn't matter that your OC likes Danny, because, let's face it, a lot of us do! Our OCs are pieces of us that we create and they always have a part of us in some way or fashion. Your OC and you must like Danny so much that this scene pops into your mind, and that's okay! I've always feared that my OCs would be called Mary-Sues at some point, and sometimes they have. Big deal. Also, I love OC drama, so I don't see why people should make a big deal about how your character is represented. Hope this helps and, again, great job on the picture!~

I just resently learned what a Mary-Sue is, is it ok if I tell you? Well if not that's fine you can just ignore this then but here goes:
A Mary Sue (sometimes just Sue), in fanfiction, is a fictional character with overly idealized and hackneyed mannerisms, lacking noteworthy flaws, and primarily functioning as a wish-fulfillment fantasy for the author or reader. Perhaps the single underlying feature of all characters described as "Mary Sues" is that they are too ostentatious for the audience's taste, or that the author seems to favor the character too highly. The author may seem to push how exceptional and wonderful the "Mary Sue" character is on his or her audience, sometimes leading the audience to dislike or even resent the character fairly quickly; such a character could be described as an "author's pet".
So basically it's character that was based almost entirely off of a published or known character. Or someone without flaws or their own personality

The definition of Mary-Sue has nothing to do with dying a tragic and/or early death. If that's true, then all my OCs should be burning in Hell right about now! I love this picture! If just ignore it when people call my characters Mary-Sues.

I agree with a lot of the people on the Mary-Sue matter. I'm also afraid of my OC, Hikari, being labeled an MS, because of the fact that she interacts with characters like Danny.
Thing is, she displays none of the characteristics of an MS!

Your OC, Jenn, is SO NOT A MARY SUE!!! I have this friend, Chrissy-San, who has a OC called Carrie that is paried with Danny. I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE THINK OC'S PAIRED WITH DANNY ARE MARY SUES!!! THEY ARE SO NOT!!! If we find out who they are, we with people who created those OCs should form an angry mob and go after them!
Anyway, I think DannyxJenn is a VERY cute couple!

I have the perfect story for that (or I lest I believe that is perfect) it involve my character of "multiplayer", portals the obious love story and maybe a happy ending, ho and a very big freaking monster that is responsable of all this

I don't see what's wrong with this pic. OCs are like redshirts: you can bump 'em off without disrupting the canon and make more in time for the next episode.

I know what you mean about trying to make an OC not MarySue/GaryStu ish. Unfortunately, it's in the eye of the beholder, and you will never please everyone! So just remain humble, take the comments in stride, don't bitch at people who comment on any MarySue nature (for that almost always proves a char's MSness) and do what you like. Self-insert's not the same as MSing.

it's not mary-sueish. As long as the character is flawed, isn't good at everything, and not better than something that one of the main cast is good at she's a decent OC. Besides, the picture in itself is very well done. And you have all the characters spot-on. It looks like a cap right out of the series; and if you hadn't put a description in, wouldn't surprise me if people would mistaken Jenn as an actual DP character. xD
