Description This is gas bubbles emitted by underwater algae. Suddenly the water froze, and the gas continued to emitted and froze in the ice.

This is an amazing shot. I've seen lots of frozen bubble photos, but this one is unusual
because the bubbles are flattened. They look like metal disks. The effect is like seeing
the Buddhist stone stupas left by travelers. Here's a photo of some at Baekdamsa Temple

Thank you! These bubbles looked amazing in the sunlight, and the ice was so smooth that I wished I had not bought skates
