Meiran is a carefree laid back guy who likes to mess with others occasionally for his own amusement. He is fairly outgoing and easy to get along with; though it's a mystery to whether this side of him is his actual personality or a facade. He is someone who has spurs of spontaneity but at the same time he is also easily bored. He enjoys being in the center of attention and seeks out entertainment at the expense of others. There aren't many things that make him uncomfortable and likes to go with the flow of things, though he is known to make others uncomfortable.

Although he dislikes talking about himself he does take interest in the lives of others and is quite good at reading others, often saying things that others like to hear. His skills in conversation makes him quite manipulative at times, though he rarely has bad intentions. While he is good at reading others he likes to hide sides of him that he doesn't want others to know about -even to those he is close to. He always wants others to see the positive side of him and acts optimistic around others, however there are times when he falls under the spell of melancholy and become rather gloomy. Despite is outgoing and energetic personality he is actually quite cynical of others and not that easily trusting.

The Mizuchi Clan resides in the seas surrounding the island and tend to live isolated from the rest of the species that reside there. At birth mizuchis are separated from their parents and raised alongside the other children of the clan by the clan's educators. The educator's role in the clan is the raise, train, and teach the young mizuchis about the ways of the clan. Competitive by nature, Meiran for as long as he remember was always competing with his fellow mizuchis and getting into trivial fights. Meiran's childhood was filled with strife and competition as the mizuchis are quite a strict and conservative, promoting for each one to strive to be the best. Through these hardships and rough environment, Meiran developed a outer more happy and manipulative personality to get others to do what he wanted and as a way to cope with everything.

As he got older he became more curious of the inland, however until mizuchis were of age they weren't allow to leave the clan. This did not stop Meiran, as he often snuck out to play on the beaches and pick up things that others leave behind. While most mizuchis do tend to stay and live their life with the clan due to the fear of the outside world, Meiran's dislike of the clan's way of life and curiosity of the island was what drove him to leave the clan as soon as he was of age. The rules made by the elders of the clan was that once you leave you can never return since they didn't want their clan to be tainted by the outside world. For Meiran, since he had never met his parents and never really made any true friends either he didn't have too much emotional attachment to his clan and had no trouble in leaving.

During his time traveling and exploring the island he stumbled upon the guild that was willing to take him in and decided to join.

「 Temperature Manipulation 」

Meiran can freeze anything he touches and any other connecting object; it's most effective with freezing water. However he can only freeze things to about a 2 meter radius and up to 5 meters if he strains himself. Thus if he were to try to freeze a lake he would only be able to freeze a small portion of it.
