Description ok so now i have to read a book and make my own illustrations!
so i read 'the two princesses of bamarre' by gail carson levine, and decided to try it out.
again, slaughtered. but then i went to art class and my teacher and i worked on it and it turned out ok, not GREAT but we are happy with it. i'll go back later and completely redraw it.

its timid princess addie leaving home to seek out the cure for the grey death, which has no cure and is rapidly taking the life of her beloved sister, meryl.
on her feet are the seven league boots. take one step and you go seven leagues*....

This is amazing!! I love it! That book was one of my favorite books when I had read it, but then came along Hunger Games, Percy Jackso, and Harry Potter! Haha.

I just reread Deerskin recently. This is sweeter and more innocent but the questing quality is there. Very nice job. And, thanks for the book recommend! I've only read Ella Enchanted by Levine, will go look for the two princesses!

I like the colors, and how the wind swoops everything to the right--the clouds, the sky, the blue dress. Almost a whimsical piece!
The only Gail Carson Levine book I've read is Ella Enchanted.

ANYWAY... I like it! There's really not enough art of this book around here.

i knew it didn't sound right.

and i agree. im working on another picture from it. my teacher wants me to do the whole book....so we'll see!!
