had a stressfull time with this piece overall x0 went from loving it to being unsatisfied with how it was turning out. But not all artworks have to be perfect so im calling it done, maybe I will come back to it later or maybe not. I have to remember art is mainly for fun, to make things I like to make and if I don't like the piece I don't HAVE to keep working on it, even though I feel like all my pieces are my new babies and I want to make them perfect xD it is a problem of mine...atleast I really like the concept and the colors of this one

Very cute.Β We had a fairy lantern salesmen in an rpg adventure I ran a few years ago.Β The players set the fairies free and scared the trapper into giving up the trade.Β

Hmmm. Overall it's a very pretty piece and the lighting is wonderful. However, there's not much going on in the right side of the painting, which hurts the framing a bit IMO. It's unfinished, though, right? I get that. It's a shame some of the edges are not crisper, e.g. around the fairy's right hand. Also, the fairy's eyes make it look like she's in a trance. So if you ever feel like working on this painting again, feel free to take any (or none!) of these comments on board.

I think it's good to struggle for perfection, at times. Just like exercise, we only grow when we push ourselves to our limit. But you don't always have to break records. Sometimes just having fun is reason enough to start or stop a piece.
