When I saw old Hiccup for the first time, I thought

Whoa slow down there. That's pretty uncalled for. Even if the original picture came from DreamWorks, the image looks edited in order to show both the older and younger versions of Hiccup side by side. If you don't like it and comment just for spam then don't comment. It's as easy as that.

I'm not commenting just to spam. Screen caps, edited or not, are not allowed on dA. She did not make the original images, so technically, it's considered art theft by deviantART policies. I am doing nothing but trying to keep her from getting herself in trouble. The thing about the 'hide/spam' is because most fantards get mad and baww and block when you are trying to keep them from getting themselves suspended.

Well aren't you just the epitome of sincere positivity. Not all people automatically block other users because of comments that aren't highlighting their ability as an artist (of any trade ie writing, drawing, craft making, etc). Other comments you may have made may have been hidden, but you don't need to generalize everyone simply because someone blocked you or got rid of your post. Plus, I'm pretty sure this isn't the first picture that is potentially taken from DreamWorks and/or is a screen cap that /is/ on dA. There are multiple images that have /not/ been removed despite being/possibly being a screen cap.

Ah, yes, you truly possess an immense amount of optimism. If you are oh so concerned about possible consequences regarding this deviation, since you have clearly stated that you believe that it will end in negative consequences, then am I to presume that you have done so to those that have done screen caps of the older version of Hiccup? (Seeing as to how that is what you are saying about this deviation I presume you do these same comments to other users.) After all, your replies, to my understanding, point to the conclusion that you make these similar comments on other works (not specifically for How to Train Your Dragon or DreamWorks). Finally, since this is a question I have pondered since your first comment, do you therefore report such works since you have stated that dA does not allow them?

And what do you care if I try and let people know that what they're doing isn't allowed on dA? I'm not going and directly insulting them (calling them dirty thieves, saying they deserve to die, etc. like other people do regarding this type of thing. Yes- some people will actually send death threats to people regarding copyright infringement.) or doing anything wrong.
I don't get involved with reports like these. I let the person decide whether they want to keep breaking the site rules or not. The only instance I report people is if they are stealing my work, making death threats, etc.
