spread thick across fields of stormy ashes
reciting dreams of soap and skin
that flow from mouth to satin
behind her veil, the sun still burns
though night reveals a burden

The poetry kind of matches the art, but to tell the truth, I was so fascinated by the poetry that I had quite forgotten about the painting! I'm not sure what that means, but at least that your poetry stands strong on its own! <3

Its a great piece. Her face is so bright and beautiful, betrayed by the darkness coming out of her mouth.
