I don't know. Maybe that's because I almost hate too dark and too light colours? I know that not too dark shadows and not too bright lighting can make a dreamlike feeling.

Yeah, thats it! In some places, like right in front of the beak, there is a hazy outline or something, I think they really add to the feeling.
