I've always found hands fascinating, challenging, frustrating and occasionally rewarding to draw, but you seem to capture them with such realism even when they're at strange angles. I find your artwork so compelling. Really, truly outstanding talent.

thanks, hands can definitley be one of the most challenging things to paint, I think thats why I like painting them so much.

Triple Guuuh~~~ Both of your trumpet paintings are amazing! I'm always in awe when a monochromatic painting is as amazing as this! ( I tried it once... it did not end well ...) And I'm exceptionally partial to your fingers and finger nails in this piece. You've got the wrinkles in the knuckles down to a science, the cuticles in the nail & the nails themselves that have the small ridges/lines that individually reflect light <3 Such attention to miniscule details like that ... gah! Soooo much love for that!

thanks a lot. I'm pretty happy with the metal, it was by far the most time consuming part.
