I've been adding a lot of texture stock photos to my website JFotography . So I just wanted to show some of the fun things you can do with those textures.
The base scenery stock photo is by the wonderful stock photographer qute@sxu.hu . The first stock photo in the textures-nature section was pasted as a separate layer, color balanced, and set to Lighten Only. The second to last photo in the textures-grunge section was pasted as a separate layer and set to Overlay. Color balance of separate layers and various minor tweaking after that.

This is very beautiful!
I love the high contrast between deep blue sky and rich yellow field.
The sunshine texture fits perfectly well with the image.^^
Personally, I love how this grunge texture makes this photo (for me it's still a photo) look like an old painting on an even older piece of (raw) wood.

The contraste between the blue & the yellow is superb. And this light on the right part, makes it look like a old photo, or a dream, some kind of vision
