I always wanted Classic/old school Spyro to fight against Malefor.

If Sparx is drawn to scale here, he'll actually be helpful.

He's pretty big in Skylanders.

Sure. Dragon that flies. Basically he is Spyro's brother. What am I talking about? Don't answer that.

Yeah, It's okay for what it is. But I wish it had more platforming.:/

Hmph. Well, I like the Legend of Spyro series. In my opinion, it's actually the best game they've made. Sure, I got a little confused about the ending, but I honestly don't know why your sort of complaining about the backstory. The graphics are amazing, Malefor's voice is the perfect suit for his character, Spyro's voice is gorgeous and the chance to ACTUALLY be evil in one stage is pretty exciting! (Example, you get to be Dark Spyro in the end of Eternal Night.) To be honest, I understand your entitled to your own opinion, but mine is that the Legend of Spyro trilogy is really a creative piece of imagination and an amazing and inspiring game! The old Spyro games are still fantastic, but my favourites are the Legend of Spyro.

i thought the same thing too.
did you notice this?"no one mentions how he became evil and no one exactly knows what he's done to call him evil" so why should HE be evil?
anyway fantastic job

Yes, Malefor is in Skylanders, but not as the same exact character. Instead of a rare purple dragon, he's the Undead Dragon King of the Underworld in Skylands. He does however still plays a role in corrupting Skylanders Cynder as his pawn. :3

Okay no offense but I know a lot about Skylanders and I have NEVER seen nor heard of anything related to Male for in any of the games. The closest thing to Malefor in the Skylanders series was an evil dragon who was a very dark blue color with glowing light blue eyes and stripes on his skin. Sorta. His name was Vathek. Brother of Ramsese the king of dragons peak and Vathek has long attempted to steal the throne and rule dragons peak. And he is a lot different then Malefor if you think about it.

I know it's already been said, but he was mentioned in Hex and Cynder's, back stories. (I can't remember whether it was Spyro's too or not.) He also got mentioned in the books. But now he's in the comic but they came out after the comments I think.

Yes, I am aware of Vathek, the undead dragon and evil brother of Ramses.Β
Malefor is so far only mentioned in the backstories of Hex and Cynder, and mentioned in a few Skylander books.

Well we know what an Undead dragon looks like in Skylanders: [link]
Malefor would probably look even more sinister X3

That's because she came back from the Dead in Skylanders. :3 She was corrupted by Malefor, but was defeated by Spyro and was freed from Malefor's control.

Like I said, I liked the first one and I don't know why. I agree with you on all other points, though.
I guess I'm just a sucker for opera-moaning-music-filled worlds and big fantasy areas. But.... SPYRO. The dragon known for joking and non-seriousness = messiah chosen one in LotR-type setting = DOES NOT COMPUTE
And Skylander, how is it? I haven't seen any footage at all. I have seen fanart though, it looks WEIRD. Spyro looks like a demonic dragon Stitch chihuahua.

Well granted, it was the first game in the series so I could sorta relate. When I first played it I thought it was okay, until later on..
Well, Skylanders, the gameplay is just fine. The story is back to being goofy, it never takes itself seriously.
I do agree that his design in the game does look satanic. But I don't think all the incarnations of his design make it look that bad.
I mean, in the concept art he does look pretty ugly.[link]
But he really doesn't look that bad in this trailer.[link]
And to be honest, It's kinda grown on me!XD

I honestly would get skylanders but with its "toy" factor, and how hectic my living quarters are at this time (so much so that I regularly loose my DS) I don't think it would be a good idea to get them. Might loose 'em, y'know.
But say, we've talked about Spyro's first trilogy, the Legend trilogy, and Skylanders. What do you think about "A Hero's Tail" and "Enter the Dragonfly"~!?
π: 0 β©: 1
Jdoesstuff In reply to MaraTheWolf [2012-04-09 03:03:43 +0000 UTC]
Well, Enter the Dragonfly is basically the Sonic 06 of the Spyro series. It's glitchy and buggy as all hell!>~< But it does try to emulate the PS1 games so I'll give it that.
A Hero's Tail was a bit different, but it still retained the same platforming exploration factor. The odd thing was that it was made by Sierra, the same people who made the Legend series.
My question is how did they go from this, to that?>___>

MaraTheWolf In reply to Jdoesstuff [2012-04-09 18:30:51 +0000 UTC]
I really didn't mind either of them, but Hero's Tail really just makes me mad. I more prefer Enter the Dragonfly, because it kept a little closer to the original formula (only a certain amount of gems each level, for example; things are collected . . .) Hero's Tail just felt sooo, soooo very lackluster in my opinion.
