I for one am tired of all these new Sonic characters who are either annoying as fuck, or eye candy for furries and fangirls!
Back in the day Sonic's friends where a bunch of little flicky animals who seemed to always get captured and "roboticized" into badniks by Dr.Robotnik. The blue bird is Flicky, the squirrel is Ricky, the chicken is Cucky, the rabbit is Pocky(yes, his name is indeed Pocky!), the penguin is Pecky, the pig is Picky, and the walrus is called Rocky. Aren't they just adorable?!>w<They haven't really appeared in many recent games except for Sonic 4 and in the stands in the Mario & Sonic Olympics games.
Surprisingly, Flicky had a game way back in the arcades before Sonic ever came to be!O.o In that game you had to run around gathering up little chicks and lead them through the exit avoiding the cats and iguanas. It's pretty fun, you can play it on Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection!
I really like how this turned out. I like the sky and I think this is the best Sonic I've draw yet!

Meh. Not really my taste. I'll take substance over hardly anything.
I mean, sure, not all the characters are completely necessary to the series, but they do provide a rich backdrop for the fictional universe which they inhabit, as well as interesting plot developments. Sonic without friends/allies would be like having Chistopher Robin without the Hundred Acre Wood gang, or Superman without the Justice League. It be pretty boring.

I dunno... The Justice League does a decent job with animated adaptions. But when it comes to comics and movies, that's a whole different story.
With the Sonic series, even when the stories suffer, you can still see the potential. But most of the ideas which DC comes up with has me scratching my head with the reaction of "What we're they thinking?".

I always loved the mobians.
But what confused me was, why was Sonic bigger then the other animals? I saw a LION mobian that was smaller than him. God, they must think Sonic's a GIANT. XD
But anyways I actually myself wish that Sonic was just as smal las them. Now they got the same-styled characters. -.- I loved how Sonic had the 6 big quills. But now EVERY hedgehog character has the 6 quills. D:< Now it's like it's his hairstyle rather then quills like an actual hedgehog. -.-

You could save little animals in SA. But their not the same as the Flickies in the classic-er games.
Yeah, that'd be pretty cool! Or maybe the could be used as power ups kinda like in Sonic Colors. Like have 'em fling or fly Sonic somewhere or destrying certain obsticles!

You should read that one story if you want somthing bad to happen to her,type "Sonic SatAM season 3" and it will come up as a story,3 chapters so far(only Chapter 3 has only 1 part so far)

I can tell you studied the original concept art for these characters as well, excellent work in capturing that style.
While I personally don't have much against (some) of the new characters, I agree that it has gotten a bit out of hand since Sonic Adventure.
