Description
This drawing shows the illusion of notebook paper taped to some wood. The subject of the rose speaks to the illusion of beauty. True Beauty is always below the surface and true love is the ability to see the beauty within. The entire image was drawn, including the tape, paper, and wooden background.. It's 18" x 14" and rendered with charcoal , carbon, and graphite pencils. This is some of the best pencil work I have seen in a long long time. It's nice to see someone else out there who is willing to take the time to do something so amazing by hand. You have an incredible sense of irony too! I get a kick out of your gallery. I work mostly in colored-pencil (prismacolor on bristol board) but I still pick up my graphites every now and then. Thank you for the inspiration! I can not get over how well you execute textures, I ouc pick up that sheet of notebook paper it looks so real!
