This is a piece that was done for 's contest (sorry it's a day late
) I chose to go with color pencil as my color medium. I was going to use my new set of copic markers but I had to send them back since they sent me the wrong ones. overall I like the way this came out. skin is a little light but not a big deal. In his hand is a short sword made of a horn of a narwhal and the other a shell necklace. For those of you that will be attending SNAFU-Con on 10-22-10 i will have print of this available.

I think that this turned out great and I think it's a new rendition on what a merman can look like. I also enjoy traditional art so I think the colored pencils bring in a nice touch. Thanks for submitting... even if it was a little late! ^^
