Although one could argue that you're pushing the saturation too far, I find your treatment of color rather compelling. You managed to keep sufficient detail and variety in the sky, which is great. You also captured a very interesting moment with dramatic sunrays. Nice work.
Probably the only criticism that I would like to make is concerning the composition. The blue expanse of the sky on the left draws the eye due to its intensity of color, but it does not feature much detail. So it draws attention away from the more interesting and informative parts, which are the golden clouds and the windmill. A simple solution could be to lessen the saturation of the sky, as you did in another shot of this scene. Furthermore, it seems like you chose a vertical format in order to fit the windmill, but otherwise the dynamic in your shot is horizontal, which likely made you settle for a less elongated vertical crop. In the end, you have an odd format which emphasizes neither dynamic. I would suggest a few solutions for such situations, that is, when you shoot landscapes with a single tall vertical element: 1. stick to either horizontal or vertical format to emphasize one of the dynamics in the shot, 2. opt for a square format to show the tension between the vertical and horizontal dynamic, 3. find an elevated spot at some distance, whence the tall element will not be as tall and yet remain prominent, and shoot horizontally. This last suggestion might seem counter to the familiar image of a nature photographer shooting with wide angle lenses, but in reality I have seen a number of stunning landscape photographs which were made with super-telephoto lenses.
Interesting work overall, especially with color.

I would to thank you for taking the time to comment.Β You have added an element of thought that had not entered my thought process.Β I went back to this series of photos and the two that I took vertical with these elements (windmill, sunset, the field is either grapes or pistachios, and those stupid buildings) both those had bad lens flare as I was positioned to the right.Β I hadΒ print made of this image and I really like as a metallic print.Β Again thank you for your commentsΒ

here is another picture, maybe a little over saturated for some peoples taste

This is BEAUTIFUL! I love your use of color. The bright blue and the yellow really work well to give it a sunset look. One thing I think could improve is the color of the foreground. Right now, it's a bit dark. I can't see what is there other than some specks of light. Overall, I really like the bright colors

You nailed with using a high color saturation in this picture. I also love how the blue and yellow in the sky seem to be perfectly divided by the clouds.

Thank you for taking the time to make a comment.Β I will keep the idea of the telephoto lens in mind as a couple of people have suggested that.Β That was a great day for shooting for me as I was able to take several of my favorites.

I love it, the vibrant saturated blue and yellow makes the black stand out in a way that's very appealing.

While I agree with the critique from inacom, as a person who sometimes needs images to use as covers for reports and books, the composition is perfect for that purpose. The blue expanse in the upper left corner is right where I would put the book title, which means I wouldn't have to cover any part of the image (or at least very little of it) with text. That would mean the title of the book would draw attention, and then the image would draw attention - just as it should be.
