My Entry for a contest *Dahdtoudi ‘s throwing. The theme is to create a girlfriend for ~Sir-Santa-of-Claus ‘s OC Tsurabusu.

Name: Kanae Masatada
From: Mist
Birthday: October 2
Zodiac: Libra
Age: 16
Height: 163 cm
Weight: 120 lbs
Personality: Determined, quiet, modest, has a strong sense of time and place, likes learning new things, hates disappointing people and making mistakes

Technique/s: Wields weapons concealed as ordinary objects (eg hair sticks that are actually hidden projectiles or daggers, explosive pellets and flash-bangs concealed in the form of pearls, shurikens as water-lily hairclips, chakrams as ornamental fans, umbrella that shoots out shurikens when flapped open etc), knows some taijutsu and water-based jutsus.

Kanae was in born in a small village in Kirigakure, to parents who weren’t ninja but owners of an Antique Store (which was a family business). Because she was an only child, her parents placed a lot of responsibility on her shoulders as well as their hopes of her continuing the family business. But Kanae had no desire to carry on the business, deeming it boring and dull, and instead aspired to become a ninja much to the disapproval of her parents. Eventually Kanae’s parents allowed her the chance to fulfil her goal, much to Kanae’s delight, but warned her that should she fail to become a ninja she’ll take up the family business just as they wanted her to. So Kanae trained as hard as she could to reach her goal, but carried the fear that a single failure might end her dream permanently.

At first glance Kanae appears to be a straight-laced, well-brought up young village girl but her ability to wield ordinary-looking objects as weapons say otherwise. From daggers and projectiles concealed as accessories to ornamental fans as cutting blades, Kanae is not to be underestimated. In addition she knows some water jutsus like Water Barrier Jutsu and Water Healing and some taijutsu.

Whew...it was really hard designing her background. I hope she doesn’t sound too Mary Sue-ish… I didn’t want her to be some child prodigy, a kage’s kid or anything like it. Just an ordinary person.
