Finally getting around to upload some of my photos from Anime North a few weeks back!

This was my big Saturday costume, Princess Sakura from Tsubasa from this image with my group of the other three plus a Mokona: [link]

Since I couldn't get us a photographer in time, we went out back of the DT and took some photos ourselves with my camera! Didn't turn out too bad I'd say!

Corset top, skirt and cape are made of a polyester-cotton mix (I think? The woman likened it to a sateen too) Corset drafted myself to get the shape from the image and though I couldn't get boning to sit properly due to the crazy shape the front needed to have, there are multiple layers of interfacing to keep the shape. In addition the entire back is grommetted to allow for the fit!
The cape topper is made up of a very light fabric which I added med-weight interfacing to and then backed onto this ultra crazy thick interfacing this could keep the shape and keep the weight and the cape on me. The pattern on the top was appliqued on and it's the back of bridal satin, and I made the bias tape as well~

All the accessories for this costume were made from worbla! That material is amazing and I highly recommend it for it's easy use and versatility! I know pieces like the wing piece at the bottom of my top aren't 100% identical to the image, but I really like the twist I put on it and I hope you do too!

To add my own little twist to the costume I added a really pretty jewel I found downtown T.O. to the headpiece and I made earrings of jewels similar in colour. This was also the same colour of jewel used for the jewel between the wings on my hip piece and I liked the idea of tying in that colour of jewel around the costume~ Jewels for the top were bought and sewn on there as well as on the gloves, and the gloves were bought from a bridal store.
