Um...sorry if I'm missing something completely obvious, but I can't seem to figure out how to get lil' Alfred to appear. I do like this shell a lot though, the coloring and such is so pretty (and it doesn't hurt that there's a unicorn on Arthurs head. xD)

Hmm... the shell should be by default load both of them simultaneously when you load the 'scone' shell.
Are you seeing anything else that could be buggy when you just load Arthur?
I'm glad you like it though!

Sorry it took so long to come back.
I've honestly looked through every par of the surfaces coding and I can't find the problem. So the only thing I can tell you is where you differ from many of the other shells I've seen.
Your coding is quite a bit longer than others.
You have extras such as the makoto.dll
You have 5 digits for the America shell (Which you didn't add buttons for but you could)
You've skipped certain surfaces when programming the collisions.
You used add instead of overlay for the dressup feature (most use overlay)
The only other thing that comes to mind is where the coding was originally based of off. I know a program where flele is derived from and that one uses separate character images like you did. :\
Sorry I couldn't help much.

Ahaha wow! no problem!
Thanks so much for looking so extensively into my coding!
It... is quite a monster of a code since I didn't really know what I was doing.
Your list really helps for whenever I try this again in the future.
You totally helped me understand a bit more about flele programming.

XD No problem.
I would have recommended starting with easier coding first and then moving up. XD You just skipped that step and still managed to do it. It's pretty amazing.

SHould I take a look at the coding?
You only messed with the shell coding right? Not the system coding?

I don't think so? I actually tried to translate everything from another shell that was just moon speak on my computer before... but there's some scripting error or something... when I load the shell. It'd be great help! m(_ _)m

Oooh! This one is interesting! I've never seen this coding before...most people try (and unfortunately fail) with the de-poche shells. Where did this come from?
I can't see any immediate issue that needs to be addressed other than you have extra stuff. Profiles, makoto.dll (along with the other makotos), and surfacetable.txt really isn't needed. You coded so that England and America are separate in their actions. Correct? This might take me a few days to check since it's so extensive >.> You might just have accidently contradicted yourself. Though I wouldn't know why that would cause the flele to time out.
Gosh, that was long >.<

Did you edit the spain/italy shell or the new de-poche shell? I just realized that the new Kaito de-poche shell crashes the program when it's loaded and it's set to automatically load.
Anyways, it has yet to crash my SSP. (unlike the kaito >.>) I'll keep playing around with it. It might be a specific condition that sets it off.

I started with the spain/italy shell ... but combined it with what I know from the de-poche shells. The kaito shell actually doesn't crash my ssp at all though. Maybe it's my FLELE player that's an older version?
Sorry for my rambling, but it seems there could be soo many reasons behind it. When I was trying to figure out my error, my crashes were also inconsistent. Could it be my version of FLELE? Mine is version SSP/2.00.22

The new de-poche shells? With the new character outfits? Yeah, when I reinstall, it crashes. (oh wait, it your shell crashed when I tried to change shells while I was typing this). Kaito de-poche is doing the same thing.
I have 2.00.22 as well. It just doesn't crash. But something is really off about it. I've already realized that you didn't code for buttons for the stroke feature but when the shell is in use, it acts the same way as if I edited the 01.dic file (a system file). It should not say "????64???" when the clear button is used nor should it say "????" for the stroke.

Ahh.... is that the problem? I didn't touch the system files at all but simply the interaction of the code to my pictures. I actually didn't work with those new shells, but rather the old one. Weird how it has the same problem as the new shell, huh...

Have you tried using it with the "ignore undefined surfaces setting"? You might have more luck there while I try and sort through it.

Jayolin In reply to Extrics [2010-12-12 23:22:26 +0000 UTC]
I haven't tried that setting, but my knowledge of the code is actually very limited. Is that something found in the system files? Thanks for taking a look into this.

Extrics In reply to Jayolin [2010-12-12 23:50:51 +0000 UTC]
No, ignoring undefined surfaces might narrow it down but I doubt it.
If I can't find a problem, I might just reprogram a bit of it to see if that fixes it.
