Amazing...the light is so gorgeous here, soft, directional, and the colors are beautiful. I find it interesting that the character doesn't seem disturbed at all by what is occuring--more a fascinated expression on his face... Beautiful work with the most-difficult figure angle and pose--it looks very easy, very natural. A wonderful painting!

Yes he doesn't seem disturbed about what is going to happen to him though , hmmm like what Abrainthatleaks says that he is prepared for whats coming for him like the punishment of nature is his destiny to fuse and become one with the Earth.

Yes...and yet, in the end, we all "fuse and become one with the Earth..." A very interesting piece!

The shirt is awesome and it makes me think of "going what from whence we came." It looks like there is an old man who has become fade from being there and forgotten to the decay of earth like he is faceless and forgotten to those who still have a face for the world. The young man seems unafraid of his fate and only embraces the outcome as if he understands that this would one day happen...

I like that interpritation. There is that feeling of fate occuring in the picture for the young man. It does feel like the fate will occur at that moment , like a freeze frame . And the viewer is there to witness what is about to happen.

You are an amazing artist BTW... I don't know if I said that! I have to use crude things like words to make my pictures so I am envious

Have you read any of their actual stories? I read like all of them when I was younger ...lol As for the movie I saw like half of it, have to find some time and see the rest, it was alright, not a bad movie.

that's cool, I remember, someone gave all their stories as a gift to me and my sisters awhile back, it was still in Lithuanian that I read them, back in Europe.

That's really nice, the colors and textures are really well done. I love how expressive he is, too. It really has a very classic sort of appeal to it.
