Love this! Its kinda like the first time I saw Tom Strong designs, I was just wowed. This is different, but gives off the same cool, retro feel! You better not just "talk" this into being- Do IT!

Thanks T! I feel like such a moron that I dont know who Tom Strong is. I need to get learned on a lot of that stuff. Looked it up and, yeah, seems like this idea is in that vein. I deffinitely wanted a retro feel to it... I tried to channel a little Darwyn Cooke as inspiration. To be honest I doubt this will go anywhere. I was just helping someone out with a concept sketch, so its not really even my own personal project.

Ooooh. That's too bad. Listen, if you are like me, you fill your time with projects that are other people's passions because they get them to a "semi-baked" phase (the hardest part to get through when you just want to jump into drawing/designing) and then they bring it to you. I'd suggest doing a project for yourself. After years of not seeing things completed (because I was teamed with someone else who wasn't finishing their part or because of my own loss of steam because it wasn't my dream) I finally decided to do something for me, completely on my own. It was the Opp. Forces 4 issue comic series, but my character design book is also in that category, I guess.
You have the ability to do it all, so do it all. It takes longer, but you'll have something to look back on that you'll be proud of. End of preaching.

Ive started so many individual projects and cant seem to get through them, or stay motivated long enough. But thats the goal, it'll just take a while. I seem to get way too critical sometimes and I feel it hinders my production on a personal project. I second guess myself way to much. And thats why I admire guys like you.

We all second guess ourselves. THere's stuff in my book and the comics that I look at now and hate....but it doesn't out weigh the victory of having them DONE!
