Hey guy's so this is my submission for the "Give the Gift of art contest"
I decided to go with a more symbolic route mixed in with my love for fantasy armour and angels

This is a gift to someone really special to me, one who I can confidently say really made a great impact in my life.
She is like an angel to me, destroy of darkness, bringer of light, sent from the heavens to protect, guide, and truly care for me. She had torn down my barriers, destroyed the dark fortress that dwells within me, and allowed me to heal, and grow emotionally. (This is represented by the sequence starting at the bottom left, I tried to roughly depict a fortress thing, which starts to crumble as you look more to the right and eventually turns into a tree growing, not sure if this part was obvious or not but I tried!)
Growing up I in an environment that mostly consisted of fighting, arguing, yelling etc. I found my self mostly depressed, although I was very good at hiding it. I had learned to keep to my self, I was never able to trust anyone enough to express the things that troubled me, and how I truly felt.
But for some reason I had decided to let someone in my life, it was something about her that I trusted. She quickly tore down the barriers I had build for years, and soon I felt I could trust her with everything.
I fell in love with her, and this was the first time I had truly felt this sort of emotion.
The time we spend together has allowed me to slowly mend myself, and get my life back together.
Through this painting I tried my best to depict everything she has done for me, and the significant impact she has had on my life.
