It's sorta a haunted house in space film. The small crew of the palomino comes across a long thought missing vessel, the USS cygnus, outside of a massive black hole. Going aboard, they discover the captain is still alive, but none of the original crew are around, just robots. As the palomino crew investigate the odd behavior of the captain, he plans on travelling through and beyond the black hole itself.

It's got some of that tone, but more adventurous with laser battles and tends to be more light-hearted at times.

XD Nowhere close to Cameron's work. But it takes itself, for the most part, very serious.

It's a nice slow burner that takes its time. I enjoy this period when Disney was trying out different films for older audiences.

It'd be nice, though as long as their live action remakes keep making bank, they're not throwing away a huge financial success for themselves.
