Description
This image was done for ImagineFX to celebrate Frazetta’s 80th birtday.I decided to paint a classical fantasy art piece like the ones we are used to see from Mr. Frazetta, I just did it in my style as I just didn’t dare to copy the masters style. A strong hero with some massive axes in his hands, in the background I used some elements Frazetta already used in his art like the birds. I painted a Portrait of Mr. Frazetta in the background to honor him and to show that he is the one who made this picture possible cause without him I probably wouldn’t paint anything today.
I just hope I got a little likeness with the Portrait of Frazetta in the background as I just had a very small picture (taken in the 80’s right after his “come back”
from his website as reference. Hope you like the picture was a pleasure to paint it.

On the contrary, you never cease to amaze me how good you are with the human body. Most just do beautiful women or beefy men, BUT you manage to do both so flawlessly with such realism that you can see every ripple of muscle and the softness of skin.

I love all of the Frazetta tribute pieces I've been seeing pop up. I've not gotten the issue of IFX, but if the samples I've seen here on DA and wherever-else it is I wander are any sign - it must be a great gallery of images.
