Meanwhile, Lady Bassi and her loyal squire, Kort, fight their way through the witchhunters' fort. Bassi, oddly enough, attends the same church as the witchhunters, though it's safe to say that they don't see eye-to-eye on matters of interfaith interactions. Bassi's not about to let an innocent die, let alone a friend, and Kort . . . well, he's scared out of his mind, but he's there.
"Go!" orders Bassi. "She can't be much farther ahead!" She turns and beheads a witchhunter in one swift motion, then prepares herself for another onslaught.
"Yes'm!" Kort runs like hell to save the pretty lady his mistress is friends with.
