Ha, I'm back to my favorite media after challenge myself with new experience. I notice my painting process speeds up a little bit recently. Maybe it's because of the style (plein air sketch style - though I work from a photograph ha ha), or the smaller size. Or maybe I'm getting used to with watercolor

The mixed media paper doesn't embrace color vibrancy like Arches watercolor paper. But since I want to practice daily in my journal, it's the only choice so far. I'm thinking about binding my own watercolor notebook with Arches paper

Ink and watercolor is a combination that allows one to work fast but still maintains its versatility. I really want to do some plein air sketching but can't have chance to travel and the surrounding where I live is not really attractive enough xD But I'll keep searching.....
