Description Inspired by my favorite Sci-fi TV show when I was a kid. This is a homage to the Jupiter 2 spacecraft used by the Robinson family in Lost In Space. It is actually a fully electrogravitic vehicle able to take off and land silently anywhere on the globe. Ideal for families who prefer to be afloat on the oceans frolicking with whales and dolphins.

It reminds me a little of "Fantastic Voyage".

Yeah, I see what you mean (just Googled it). I Love sci-fi craft with big windows at the front and an observation bubble on top.

Did I just show my age for a movie that came out before I was born?

I just worked out that I was two years old when that movie came out. I saw it on TV sometime in the seventies, but I'd forgotten what the craft Proteus looked like. Seeing it again, I can see why I had forgotten about it.. I think it looks a bit ugly. Still, for me, all the best sci-fi craft originated in the 60s. My favorites are The Jupiter 2, Starship Enterprise, Thunderbird 2, Stingray and Sky Diver from the UFO Tv series.

Definitely about the spacecraft!

I am also a fan of either Galactica, the Ent-D (she truly is a descendant of the Ent.!), the Reliant, and almost any Babylon 5 series ship.

Yeah, The Enterprise D is a beautiful, elegant, wonderful and fitting evolution of the original enterprise design concept. Her curves and lines are progressive and respectful to her lineage. I also Love the Enterprise in the very first Star Trek movie back in 1980. I even have a beautiful model of her in my studio. I was horrified when I saw the Enterprise used in the most recent Star Trek movie. Horrible horrible horrible!!!.. What were they thinking!!!!
I'll check out the Babylon 5 spacecraft on Google on my next drawing break..

Please let me know what you think.

Can't forget the Tau'ri capital ships as well.

Thanks!.. I'm just using a cartridge paper sketchpad for pencil work. It has a slightly rougher than usual texture which gives a nice surface for sketching.
