This is an awesome basic CSS design, bravo!

I'm just wondering if you're able to make it (or if in case you have already and I"ve overlooked it!) or possibly tell me the coding you're to put on it so the stamp, thumbnail or icon bar can go on the side of the journal?

I really like the colour you chose, it's great work!

Thank you!

For some reason, dA won't let me post a link, but if you go to the bottom of the "Artist Comments" section on the deviation page, you will see a download link for that layout with a sidebar. Just download that and you will be good to go.

what do you put for making the titles, Like the "News" One on the example pic?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jamaal10 In reply to Pinktiddlywink [2009-09-02 21:36:43 +0000 UTC]

You can just change the text under the header div class:

WHATEVER YOU WANT HERE

This is a wonderful CSS!...
I'd like to use it, but i'm wondering if it would be possible to replace some words on the feature part, like instead of "recent" i could write, for example, "photography". Is it possible?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jamaal10 In reply to maria-mar [2009-08-25 12:20:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, when you look at the journal example, find the header div class and you will see the titles to the right of that. That is where you can remove "recent" and put it what you want.

Thanks for the !

Heya, umm, I'm currently using this CSS but I'd like to put a scroll-box in please? O_o;

I tried some codes that were in my other CSS's for a scroll box but they don't really work right D:

If you can't help thats ok

Jamaal10 In reply to Ginger2000 [2009-07-12 12:31:52 +0000 UTC]

Here ya go:

HTML:

CONTENT HERE

CSS:

.scroll {
overflow: auto;
width: auto;
height: 200px;
text-align: center;
background-color: transparent;
}

You'll have to change the colors and size, but that's the basics.

Cool journal layout! I'm updating mine to be like this one here in a bit, it's really cool~ Though I'm a little on the "slow" side when it comes to coding things, so if you get me asking you a question or two of how to do something, sorry. =]

Can you put a scroll box in it or have a background picture?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jamaal10 In reply to Sabbaru [2009-04-06 12:03:59 +0000 UTC]

Thank you and thanks for the watch!

I see you got the scroll box in there now, and if you want it in other places, just use this:

your content here

As for the background pic, if you want it as the main background, just change the background line in .journalbox.

HOw do you modify if to put stamps in?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jamaal10 In reply to Aimee-Lesley-Sim [2009-03-20 16:55:26 +0000 UTC]

It depends on where you want the stamps. If you want them in one of the already existing boxes, just add the thumb code for the stamps and you're good to go; otherwise, if you want them on the side, you'll have to modify the CSS to add a sidebar.

I'm using this, I love the shade of blue you used. I was wondering if you could tell me how to modify it to put stamps and features in and such

Jamaal10 In reply to Acid-On-Diamonds [2009-02-19 18:10:51 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

It depends on where you want them (sides or in the middle) and if you want them in a box (features). When you get a chance, let me know some details and I can add it in for you.

well i think i got it all done right...just one question...how do i change the font in my first box where my nickname is????? I would like it to be more fancy writing....and thank you for letting me use your css

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Jamaal10 In reply to MoonGoddess72 [2009-01-07 13:14:53 +0000 UTC]

Go to the CSS and find this section: .journalbox .journaltop h2

Then, locate the font line and type in the name of the font you want to use (put your font name in front of Tahoma Small Cap).

As an example, the font line would look like this if you wanted to use Bifurk as your font:

font: 25px Bifurk, Tahoma Small Cap, Myriad Pro, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;
