Corel Paniter. It eats the freaking lineart T-T

I hope you get Photoshop soon then. We'll be able to bitch about the same things then. I AM so greatful for the Multiply tool...it's impossible to destroy lineart with it because you color over the lines, but if you color over something black it won't disappear. Photoshop eats lineart too, if you just select areas and paint them normally.

It's an old drawing of mine. I used a NORMAL pen, no thick lines/whatever like you see very clearly in this drawing, and I just selected areas and painted. I have a few worse examples but they make me cry.

I have such nice friends. I think I'll go cry.

I don't even know how I got Photoshop on my computer. I'm just glad it's here. I tried to color everything in Paint at first because Photoshop scared me. There are so many tools...and I only use a small fraction of them. I still wish my computer skills were half-decent because I'm still learning basic Photoshop techniques. Like, what layers are, how to select areas cleanly (I seriously thought I had to use the little brush to do everything), how to NOT destroy lineart (also a very recent development, though I learned to use thick lines earlier to minimize the damage), etc.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the shading...I used one color for all the shading, set to "Multiply". I was hoping that it would make color-matching easier.
