Looks a lot like Dark Eldar. Actually reminds me of a character form a fan fic I'm working on a bit.

I guess the Zerat does kind of have a Dark Eldar vibe, at least in my drawing. In the games they're a little more brightly colored, but they're hair, masks and running poses do remind me of Wyches.

Oh, cool! I've been thinking about doing a short comic, but I haven't had the time.

Thanks. I love Morats, but Combined Army just doesn't get ANY fan art at all. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to the comic before the end of the year.

Very nice work. I always like your celshading and color.
Insert obligatory grumbling about boobplate armor here, although that's clearly the fault of the Infinity guys. (I know this, Having seen the model for Jeanne D'arc.)

I guess it doesn't bother me? Or rather, it doesn't bother me in Infinity, a setting where soldiers can simply download into new bodies when they die and armor and combat gear are as much a fashion choice as anything. Okay, it does bother me a little in Infinity, because while all that is true, there are places where it simply doesn't make sense. the Zerat are actually a good example. They're the infiltration vanguard of an invading alien army that simply doesn't share the same culture with humanity. So while, in the context of the game setting, it makes a certain amount of sense for some human soldiers to strap on bondage gear, skin tight clothing or other stuff that might make us go WTF?, the Zerat simply wouldn't think or operate that way. Probably. Anyway, that's too bad because I think the Zerat are both awesome and dead sexy. But whatever. I can accept it to a certain extent because Infinity is made up of equal parts sexy and awesome and I knew that going into it. I think I'd be upset if I was looking for a game/setting with a more tactical military feel and all of the sudden in the 2nd or 3rd year they started releasing a bunch of sexy anime style models. But since that's part of what attracted me to Infinity in the first place, I'm okay with it.

It's something that's just started to bother me, personally, in general. Not that this happens in games per se but that it's needlessly pervasive in games.

Which is often enough for me to comment.
Don't get me wrong, I love this illustration plenty. I just wish the source were better about it. (And I don't buy the 'they can just reincarnate from the lHost' argument, either: in universe, the drug they use to do that - Hourek Silk - is expensive stuff).
Dammit now I need to post my "actually protective boobcup armor" design, don't I?
