Not how he wanted to spend his last day of vacation, I'm sure...

I dunno, being served Mai Tais and massages by zombies and alien tentacles sounds pretty exotic. Though the resort staff has been known to be a little bit overly attentive.

Thank you! Haha now that I've finally seen Evil Dead, I can see the resemblance!

Sorry I thought you were referring to Bruce Campbell, from Evil Dead haha. Is Campbell a character from Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game?

You mention Ramsey Campbell in your summary for the pic. He wrote the story your image is based on. Just the greatest writer ever.

you should check out his stuff. Try DARK FEASTS for short stories. COLD PRINT for Lovecraftian stuff.

Tho these servitors are deteriorated to the point where they can no longer walk among men as men, they are still of use in -asisting in converting- hapless victims to servitors of Glaaki. Some data was obtained from a family who managed to escape , before the servitors came to round them up and dragged to Glaaki's presense.

Of course, he'd be able to seem normal in every way, but after 60 years ... Well, in the RPG, seeing a fresh servitor costs no sanity points. There IS a loss for seeing an advanced servitor that has to stay out of direct daylight, and a worse loss if he got the Green Decay (hit by sunlight).
My favorite story by this author is The Horror from the Bridge.
Tower from Yuggoth and the Mine on Yuggoth are very different versions of the same story.
Stories by Ramsey Campbell NOT in the book include: The Madness from the vaults (2 versions, set on Tond) , The Face in the Desert, The Temple in High Street (2 versions, one set in Kingsport, the other in Temphill).

That sort of thing will ruin your whole day.
Nice work. As always, I love the level of detail, especially the clothes and the glassy surface of the water where the briefcase is just visible.
Only minor quibble might be the facial expression. I read it as physical exertion combined with confusion and a little disgust, which of course is all perfectly appropriate, but there doesn't seem to be as much of an element of fear as I would expect. But maybe that's just me.
Which zombie gets to keep the hat?
