Used mostly in his jobs to be able to enter and retrieve things without signs of forced entry, also is good for when he's too lazy to take out his keys. Can't lockpick digital locks.

History:
Theres not much to say on Vale's young life. Vale was originally born in Emerald to a happy, large family. When he was young he worked a lot, helped a lot, and learned quite a few skills like cooking, herbalism, harvesting, and survival. Despite everything though it wasn't somewhere that satisfied him. He didn't enjoy working outside or in fields or tending for these mundane tasks, always taking an interest in the city and what more there was. Not to mention the knights he'd see pass by... So when he was old enough he left.
Vale traveled for awhile in quite a few cities, a few regions, he learned to do odd jobs here and there to get by and finally made a slightly more permeant base in Ruby. At 13 he enlisted to Ruby's knight training. He wanted to do something productive, exciting, learn how to fight.
Learn how to fight he did, excelling in strength training and getting very good with his oversized sword he had taken a liking to in order to show off. However, actually working as a knight was maybe...not what he bargained for. He trained for four years making him seventeen when he was finally able to step out of training and into the job. Unfortunately it was only a year on the job before he was given a dishonorable discharge against one of his fellow knights, full details not disclosed.
After everything it felt odd that what Vale found himself doing from then on was mercenary work, criminal jobs, despite having once worked for the law. Luckily for him having worked for the law means he knows it and knows how to avoid it making him exceptionally good and discreet at the job. He even got very friendly with some of the different mafias around the underground Ruby area. They all knew he was a neutral sword for hire which made it both easy to work with him and hard to trust him.
Vale had...heard rumors of Enhalo more and more, especially with the recent dramatic events that had happened there something sparked his interest. He wanted a change from the routines he had gotten so used to and he knew he'd fit in so he enrolled. It wouldn't hurt to boost some training either.

Overview:
Vale is kind of a weirdo. He has an odd personality that makes him likeable despite a reputation of being a criminal sword for hire. He shows a wide vary of emotions without actually...showing a wide vary of emotions in his own special way. He's someone who won't talk about his family life or life before becoming a mercenary unless asked. It's not that he's secretive or that it'd bad but he's not someone to just share it either.

He's someone most people don't expect to be loyal and is easy to distrust with his turncoat nature. They're not entirely wrong either. He has a few issues with loyalty but if someone earns it he'll be fiercely loyal to them. He's used to sort of being on his own, bouncing from place to place, and not having anywhere solid as far as living quarters or friends. He's used to things always changing, people always changing, and moving on.

-a big loser
-food motivates him and can probably get him to do a lot of things. Because of his love of food he took up a liking to being able to cook it really well when he was young
